Programs
Every year, about 4 million cats and dogs are killed in American shelters because of overpopulation. The Pet Project Midwest hopes to reduce that number with its variety of programs. Currently, we operate Iowa Pet Alert, an emergency alert system for lost-and-found pets, and The Pet Pantry, which provides pet food and supplies for low-income families.Official Pet Project Midwest Brochure

We are harnessing the power of the Internet to reunite lost pets with their owners. This unique service is an emergency alert system for pets that uses social media to quickly broadcast information about missing or found pets to people in the area (follow us on Facebook and Twitter by following the links below). We've already helped many dogs and cats find their way back home. The program will next expand to include a highly interactive website.

UPDATE: We are sad to say our inventory is too low to meet the needs of our current clients, so we must stop distributing for the month of September. We hope and plan to resume distribution in October to anyone who has received less than 5 rounds of food.
There is a waiting list for new clients. We will bring new clients into the program as quickly as we can based on inventory levels. We will contact new clients as they move into the active list.
